Abstract:

Contains the architectural plans for a renovation of the Fox Theater in Oakland, California begun in 2006. Also includes a three-ring binder containing preliminary documentation for the project including the memorandum of understanding entered into on September 1, 2003 between California Capital Group, The Paramount Theater of the Arts, and the Oakland School of the Arts, construction estimates, market analysis, feasibiliy study, floor plan, and four initial concept drawings (28 x 43 cm) completed on April 30, 2004.

The Fox Theater, a 2,800-seat movie theater, originally opened its doors on October 27, 1928 in downtown Oakland, California and closed permanently in 1970. After an extensive renovation, it opened again in February, 2009 as the home of the Oakland School of the Arts and as a performing arts venue.
